Kamishibai projects for events in UK and abroad including:
Derek Carpenter Kamishibai man here in Newcastle, has been invited to attend next summer 2011 in Matsuyama , where there will be a national Kamishibai gathering from all over Japan.
19th-20th June Derek Carpenter will perform Kamishibai at CTC cycling Rally at York Racecourse.

On 23rd May 2010 I did the Kamishibai gig at the Japanese Garden in Hammersmith Park, near White City - Akiko from Mu Arts got this booking for me.
On 27th May 2009 I did a Kamishibai tale for the Welcome Collection: they commissioned me last year to make something based on a Japanese print in their collection: and this year they asked me to perform it again.
On 19th June 2010 I'm doing a Kamishibai performance and short workshop for Islington & Shoreditch tenants - again, Akiko ( Mu Arts) got me this booking.
